It means that you have the opportunity of investment in a Thoroughbred ownership by buying shares in different racing horses.

 

What is the difference between Azpurua Stables and other partnerships?
The main difference, money wise, is that Azpurua Stables does not overcharge you with all kind of commissions. For example, some partnerships charge you a % as a consignor, then a % on the return of your investment. Azpurua stables just charges the regular 5% fee that any consignor would charge you for selling your horse.
Also, Azpurua Stables is participating as an investor in every horse bought. So we are as interested as you are in doing the best job we can. And last, but not least, Azpurua Stables does not spend a huge amount of money to buy the horse in the first place, which makes it easier in the end, to make a significant return.

What kind of horses does he buys?
He buys a variety of horses at an average price of $30.000. His choices are not necessarily made on pedigree. He buys fillies and colts, different sires, different strengths of pedigree.

 

What is the cost of a horse per month?
The regular cost of a horse in training is about $1600 a month, but taking in consideration the preparation for the sales, the x rays that they have to get for the sales, and the extra costs in general for the 6 month of preparing for the auction, the average cost comes to $20.000 for the 6 to 8 months that the horse will be taken care by AZPURUA STABLES.

Are there any tax advantages to invest in a horse?
Yes, there are recent laws that have made owning a race horse more appealing than ever.

 

What is the advantage of a partnership vs. investing on my own?
The risk of Thoroughbred ownership is diminished with diversification, the more horses you participate in, the more opportunity you have for a good return on your investment.

 

What are the benefits of owning race horses in this kind of partnership?
First of all is fun and exiting. Second, you get a short term return in your investment (6 to 8 months). Third, you do not have to be knowledgeable about horses, but you can enjoy the thrill of owning a horse. And yes, you can make a lot of money on your investment, if the right horses are chosen.
